Al Nassr, one of the leading clubs in the Saudi Pro League, is making headlines with its ambitious move to sign West Ham United’s star midfielder, Mohammed Kudus.
The Saudi side is reportedly preparing a lucrative offer of €13 million per season to lure the Ghanaian international to the Gulf region.
Kudus, 23, joined West Ham last season and has swiftly established himself as one of the most sought-after players in Europe. In response to the intense interest in his services, West Ham has set his release clause at a hefty £85 million, significantly higher than the £38 million they paid Ajax for him.
Despite the enticing offer from Al Nassr, it appears that Kudus is inclined to stay with the East London club for another season. The midfielder’s preference to continue his tenure at West Ham is a significant consideration amidst the transfer buzz.In addition to Kudus, Al Nassr is also reported to be eyeing his teammate, Lucas Paquetá. The Saudi club have initiated discussions with the player’s agents, exploring the possibility of a move.
However, the chances of Kudus moving to Saudi Arabia currently seem low, as substantial gaps remain regarding the project and personal terms after initial and follow-up meetings in early July.
